About Me
Hi, my name is Shannon. I am a New Orleans native with a commitment to serving students with disabilities. Working in the school system as an accomplished educator for more than 30 years, I saw a need for support not just of the children I worked with, but their families, too. From navigating the school system, to bath time, to planning for potential evacuation - every family deserves manageable and easeful solutions. That’s why I work with my clients to identify their sensory needs and develop strategies for coping with them. I have an unwavering commitment to working with families to instill independence and self-worth in exceptional students to promote growth, development, social competency, and academic success.

“The teacher, the advocate, the advisor, and the educator for students who can and can not help themselves ... Shannon Sanders.”

"Shannon Sanders is an exceptional educator who specializes in students with disabilities. She is an advocate for students and families to receive the services they need to improve and enrich their lives. The support she provides to families in our community is adding value to their children's educational experiences. Shannon has what I would consider expert knowledge of pedagogy and strategies that help students learn new skills both in a traditional school setting and in a home."
